Artist History
Bought a $250 Yamaha keyboard in high school and learned to play practically every Depeche Mode song I knew. Made a couple of DM covers using my synth and two boomboxes. Started writing lyrics around this time. Got to college (U.C. Davis - go Ags!), took two electronic music classes, and got exposed to Csound. Several course projects were composed using Csound. The ending to my first song, "Water And Wine", germinated from my Csound days. By this time, the lyrics were coming fast and furious. At this point, the album concepts took shape. Once I got a job out of grad school (University of Michigan - go Blue!), I finally had the means (namely, the $$) to start putting music to the lyrics. Bought my first professional synth in 1996; "Water And Wine" was released in 1997, and my song output rate has been about one song per year. That'll get better, I promise. |
