Artist description
"... in dreams, where you begin to move at the speed of your own nervous sytem, you inevitably come up with mythic structure. You do not have classified data in dream life. You have myth, multi-layered, rich, fast moving data. It is collage, transparency."
- Marshall McLuhan

Press Reviews
this week's feature, Bob Smith "Solo", might sound generic but it's not. this is extremely cool, slightly underproduced, slouched back on the couch, paul westerberg style, rock & roll. the song writing throughout is down to earth and introspective and is backed by some really beautiful, subtle guitar work. "sometimes" is a perfect example of both of these qualities. "mean old me" has a little more kick to it and might just get stuck in your head for a couple of weeks (it did in mine). "september" is just beautifully sad. give it a listen. and the rest of this cd is nearly as strong as the three songs i've posted here. "somthing more" is the other real stand out.Jeff Hepfer"Burn Yer Radio" |
