Dark Heart Magazine
Schaurig beautifully darkly happens it again with the metalworkers of Voodoo Temple. The volume exists already since 1997 and probably presents with "Vessel OF Wrath" their newest and best work. Power Metal RK its best! Strong and melodisch, with a slope to Gothic the Combo shows, what really constitutes Metal - hard of guitar reef and driving Beats. On that CD are times hard times gently however homogeneous in itself to 10 Songs. Alluding tip: Supplication, Apostasy, Theonomy and Son OF Perdition. Result: Loosely geht`s!

For starters I wish to say that the club was no where good enough for Voodoo Temple. Most of the other bands were pitiful 15 year old bands. One in particular sounded like a shitty wannabe version of the Deftones.
Vodoo Temple was third in line, at 8:30, the bullshit was over and the little kids moved into another room. it was now time for the adults to play. Voodoo Temple Was the band that forced us, through their music, to grow aggresive. It was a night that will etch an image in my memory.
This was the first time I saw Voodoo Temple. So it was a real treat to see. "Fury" was the opening song...and Mike's vocals resembled a young Hetfield with a twist of 80's rock. In my opinion his voice was far advanced than Hetfields. Louie and Warren's guitars had an eerie/evil sound, which aided Mike's vocals...In my opinion, Louie and warren can play anything. Chris Thundered on his bass forcing bodies to shake, and iternal organs to leap up and forward. P.J. slammed the drums as if he were crushing someone with a baseball bat.
The concert was an excellent outlet for their rage. Most of their songs were played a few old and a few new. All in all the trip to see them was well worth the trip indeed. As I look back that concert proved to me that only certain people can play music...and yes, Voodoo temple passes that mark 100 times over. My hat is off to em on a kick ass show. I will be to more in the future.
