Spearheaded by Goodsall and Jones, backed by the ongoing participation of premier drummer Phil Collins, Bill Bruford, Mike Clarke, Kenwood Drennard and Keyboardist Pete Robinson and Robin Lumley, Brand X released a series of ground breaking albums (see attached discography). The success of these albums supported by numerous tours of America and Europe established Brand X as Europe's foremost jazz-rock group, rivaling their American counterparts Weather Report, Mahavishnu Orchestra and Return To Forever for the title of "the world's premier fusion band".
