Francois Monet is an extraordinary composer, musician, arranger, producer and studio engineer. Francois is an accomplished drummer, bassist, guitarist, and keyboardist. He has been composing, arranging and performing music since the age of ten. His compositions range from silvery symphonic instrumentation to a powerhouse of Latin-funk influenced percussion that leaves the listener enveloped in a fusion of mind and music. Francois has played in a variety of bands ranging from country to East Bay (Oakland, CA) funk. Francois is also the founder of two bands: 2 minutes maX, an industrial rock band and Monet, a percussive Latin / soul band. In the past, Francois has composed music for local plays such as, "The Garden Path" and the San Francisco Bay area cable television shows, "Before the Council" and "Modern Madness". Francois has also produced CDs for a variety of Seattle musicians such as, PVC, Acid on End and Killjoy and singers: Rich Evans, Georgia G., and Kaletra Traleisha More recently, Francois has completed the music for the Central Puget Sound Regional Transit Authority Sound Transit informational video to begin airing in Spring 2000. Francois in now in the process of creating the theme music for a local public health video, "Whats Cool and Whats Not." directed at preteens addressing drugs/sex; he is also composing the music for a local independent film, "Baxter" whose release date is not yet known.
