David M. Sanborn has performed his one-man musical about the life of King David all over the world to international acclaim. Listen to the three clips from Song of the Shepherd. First, "David Defeats Goliath", a funny dialogue clip featuring an excellent impersonation of Arnold Schwarzenegger as the famed challanger. Then "I Will Praise You", David's tribute to God after he realizes that he will be the king of Isreal. Finally, the heartfelt "Have Mercy on Me" in which King David begs mercy for not only sleeping with a married woman, but having her husband murdered when it became obvious that the affair would be discovered.
