When Yo Game is Game Tight
Stars rise and stars fall; but not these up and coming stars. Shreveports own
Game Tight Records are making waves in the Ark-La-Tex. This talented group of eight
young men ranging from the ages of 19-25 are doing their thing when it comes to doing
what they enjoy most; making music. Growing up in single family homes, drug-ridden
communities, these eight men are rising above all the hype and proving to the world that
one can make a difference.
A. D. Wilson also known as Black is one of the groups Producers and he raps with the
group as well. The Label's Artist's Are LOWDOWN, POOH, LIL NU, LIL RAPIST, BIG IKEY,
LIL JOHNNY and BUGZ. Game-Tight Assassins originated in the Queensborough
neighborhood but all members Are from Shreveport, La.These enterprenuers decided to
finally go for it and started their Record Label in Aug. 1998. The groups first record E-Dub
put the group onthe map in the Ark-La-Tex while selling 1300 copies locally. The group didnt
stop there. Now with their new album entitled Low Down-n-Dirty, the group anticipates
this will place them on the charts and/or catch the eye of talent scouts or recording agencies.
The group has done self - promotion without the Help of Local Radio And Dee-J's Game-Tight
Assassinz have done shows with the local Artist's Such As B-MAC, Mandigo Records, Jako, The Swamp
Boyz, Ladi Phat and also International Stars Such As EVE From The Ruff Riders, Skull
Druggery and CRAZY From No limit Records And Gangsta Boo From Three Six Mafia just
to name a few.
With up and coming talent such as Nelly and Lil Zhane, this local group have their work
cut out for them but can prevail in this dog-eat-dog business. They have the talent and the
drive to achieve their ultimate goal, says one Shreveport fan. The group is outstanding. They
make their music based on everyday life in the South. says their C.E.O. Game-Tight
assassins can be a strong dominant force in the urban-rap culture. With the support of their
home town and great promotion and marketing strategies, GTA will be in stores everywhere.
