Welcome to the musical world of Jon Deutsch.
Here's the thing: I need a swift kick in the
musical butt. I went on a writing spree about a
decade ago, and really enjoyed the creative process
of composing, arranging, and performing music.
But then the Internet came along,
and stole my heart. I now run serveral web sites
(MIDI.COM, The Opinion),
run a web consulting company (MIDI Services),
and still have a full-time job as an Internet Solutions Manager
at a Fortune 500 company.
So, as you can see, writing music has taken the back burner, big time.
So here's my plan: for the first time, publish the work I've completed. If
people really like it, I'll get psyched up enough to start in again. Conversly,
if it turns out that I'm not all that talented of a musician, then I plow ahead
with my Internet stuff, and remain a happy -- if less musical -- camper.

The feedback has been terrific! Viral marketing has kicked in, and my music is now
being played in people's homes that I do not know and have never met. This is part of "the dream"
and I want to keep it alive, so I am going to begin working on my follow-up album, to be named.
