For many years my family attended a small country chapel, and what memories I still have today of how we met every week for Sunday School. Over time of course, many have passed on, and like the words of my song say 'When we cross over to the other side, they will be waiting, with open arms to welcome us home forevermore, oh what a reunion there's going to be with friends and loved ones, when we cross over through the gates of heaven on that day' |

This song talks about my love for the farm. Some of my best memories are from the days when I worked on my grandpa's farm, and today I have a small farm with anywhere from 10 to 20 head of cattle depending on the time of year. It is a wonderful way to raise a family, and even though I make a living doing other things, my heart is truly in the farmin' life! |

In my song 'When We Cross Over', I mentioned the little chapel that I attended for many years. There was a wonderful lady who attended that chapel, and she led worship for many years and also taught my Sunday School class. After a long illness, she passed through the gates of heaven in 1987. That night I wrote this song as a tribute to her that God had called 'another one of His precious children home' |
