Stout. Webster's Dictionary defines Stout as :strong of character, physically or materially strong, or forceful. All of which can be applied to Baltimore's hardest driving hard-core act since the heydays of Gut Instinct. With a soul stomping intensity, Stout delivers the goods to all the true hard-core music lovers. Not since the late 80's and early 90's,
has hard-core music truly been offered such a unique blend of the old and new. Stout's style is definitely inspired by the greats of the style. Their music takes me back to the days of the Cro-Mags, Leeway, Bad Brains, Underdog and Judge, to name a few. The one thing that Stout shares with these bands is the live electricity, that they use to drive the crowd into a churning beast. One thing you will not forget is the shear driving force of the band and the crowd, throwing down in unison. The vocalist, within one song, will make you believe that he is all about business. The breakdowns in each song will either make you join the seething sea of people or make you cower by the bar, wishing you had listened to your mom, when she said, "Those shows are scary". Well, be afraid, be very afraid. Stout is coming and if you ever said that you loved hard-core music and where have all the real acts gone? They are underground, stomping with Stout. They are preparing for the next act, in your town. So if you fancy yourself a hard-core lover, act like you've got a pair and check out Stout N.G.M.F., but don't say you weren't warned.
