Walker fronts two groups; the Allegro Jazz Sextet that is a great band for major festival work that requires a mass appeal, and the The Hard Bop Tribute Tour that has its roots in the music of the Hard Bop Era. In either case, booking Rob Walker is the best decision you can make for your festival or club. The Allegro Jazz Sextet electrified and energized the audience at the prestigious Park City International Jazz Festival in August 2002. The group joined such acts as Nicholas Payton, Phil Woods, Al Jarreau, Regina Carter, Natalie Cole and Rick Braun. The Hard Bop Tribute Tour has included performances at the new Jazz Cafe in Boston as well as dates Pennsylvania including one with Hammond B3 genius, Gene Ludwig. Rob and alto sax man, Brent Jensen also appeared at this year's Jazz Festival Internacional in San Miguel de Allende in November 2002.
