In Our Room
Cedar walls
Rough cut to leave a tree it's dignity
Hardwood floors
With footsteps that travel back,
a century
Maybe two or three, I don't know
Fireplace
Built with stone and mortar
and God's Grace
There's a fire ablaze, We are warm
The candles flickering like fireflies
The love burning deep within our eyes
We lie huddled in our feather bed
Not a word is said...
In our room
|
Redwood beams
Hold up the ceiling,
Our whole world it seems
Window pane
Leaded glass that let us feel the rain
And it's raining again...
Let it rain
In our room we can do no wrong
We pull the shades against the dawn
Our passion rages on and on
and on and on...
|
The candles flicker out one by one
Our shadows hiding from,
the morning sun
We lie huddled in our feather bed
Not a word is said, In our room
Not a word is said, In our room...
But it all is said
In our room
