Inger Nordström - country music singer and songwriter

Before going country 100% Inger had a career in classical music playing the accordion. But country music had always been close to her heart, and in 1988 she joined a country music band while she was still studying at the University of Gothenburg. During the following summers she toured with the band and they were appreciated at country music festivals in Sweden and in Europe.

In the fall of 1989 Inger left that band to form a new band, the Rhinestone Band. After being together as a band for just a few months Inger and the Rhinestone Band won the Swedish Radios country music contest, with Inger winning the songwriters award for "Cimarron County".

Years of extensive touring, four albums and great chart action followed. Then it was time for the next step in her career: In the spring of 1999 she recorded her first solo album with top notch Nashville pickers in the legendary Merit Studio.
