	Stuart Smith is a friend and former student of guitar god Ritchie Blackmore, and his debut solo album showcases a style and variety similar to the Purple One. (There's even a cover of the old Deep Purple b-side "When A Blind Man Cries.") HEAVEN AND EARTH features a variety of guest musicians; vocalists Kelly Hansen and Joe Lynn Turner are most prevalent, but Glenn Hughes and Richie Sambora also contribute a track apiece. A whole slew of other guests (too many to list here) help Smith produce some well-played, mature rock with both classical and bluesy elements. The title track is an extremely well-written acoustic-based rocker

But it all mixes together all as one big furnace of Metal. Bury Em! is full of intense riffing, slick keyboards, and numbing vocals. Bury Em Up To Their Necks features fast and furious guitar solos that any metal fan could appreciate.
