This song was inspired by a friend who told
me about an original story he was writing
about an orbiting amsuement park named
AmericaLand that had become lost in space.
He told me the story as we were playing
racquetball on evening and I sung him the
chorus after the game. The rest of the song
came together almost that fast. I was luckly
enough to perform it for Jay Leno when he
came to my door with his crew while filming
a "walk around the neighborhood" gag - see my
web site for the full story! |

This song is about a long-running conflict
between two friends and former band mates
(one of which is the guy who played the great
piano solo on the recording). I would talk
to them separately on the phone and hear
their point of view to what actually happend.
They were both so sure they were right. The
sad part is that the conflict was never
really resolved and they're not on speaking
terms to this day. |
