One of our most powerful songs emotionally and musically, My Eyes represents the best of the newer material we've written. The verses start out with enough empty space to establish the mood, then fill up with sound as the song continues. This latest recording added background vocals, which seems to be just want the song called for. |

Simple but strangely soul-satisfying. Mellow acoustic and strings yet lots of percussive coolness. This copy is the latest recording of the song. |

Window flows from one musical change to another with such ease that this is one of our favorite songs to play live. Starting out with a steady rock feel, the song morphs into an almost ambient verse and then back again. |

Autumn was reworked a few months ago when we added an ambient beginning and two chords to the song. The difference is incredible, and a testament to how never setting a song in stone can make an impact. |

This song is a definite set/show ender. It's a step away from the typical Five Nine sound in that it's, in a word, rock...
Yet it still retains the influences of each band member, which is one of the reasons we enjoy playing No Other. |

Clarity is one of those songs that ended up completely different than in its first incarnation. It's funny how some songs completely change as you're writing them. This one went from a moody, ambient tone to more of a mild funk vibe. |

Cajun Man was written back in the early days of 59 by our old guitarist Chuck.
The title is taken from the SNL skit with Adam Sandler - if you listen to the song, all the lines end in some form of "tion". Chuck always had unique lyrics that played on words rather than saying something directly, adding another facet to our band's songwriting. |

A newer version of one of our more uplifting tunes, Geisha never fails to get us going live. The feeling starts building in the first verse and doesn't cease escalating. |

Faithless has what can be labeled as the five nine sound, with an uplifting melody tempered by lyrics that make imprint on your heart. This 8-track recording makes us realize how good it will be in the studio, with plenty of time to hone the track. This is one of those powerful songs that seeps into your soul without the use of volume and a wall of guitars. |

Another of our latest recording ventures, Ashes has been reworked from its original, mellow flavor to more of a rock tune. Our producers kept urging Donna to add more "dirt" to her voice and you can definitely hear it in this tune. |

This song is a much-revised version of one of 59's tunes from back in the day: California. Part of our newest recording experience, Is there anybody out there? is very slickly produced - a new sound for 59h2o. Live, however, is a different story. This song just rocks. |

Stage is one of our older tunes, but still is one of the best, especially live. One of those tunes that builds up until the audience is either a)running in fear because it's too loud or b)getting into it because, well, it's loud! |

A lighter tune, but definitely one of our best. Check out the mandolin in the second verse, courtesy of our crazily multitalented old bassist, Stephen |

Inside 17 Days is a ballad, but not in the typical sense. It has a rainy Sunday morning feel, like you've woken up at 6 a.m. and found that you want to rather enjoy it. |

Call Out lyrically takes a departure from our other songs, telling a story in 3rd person rather than our customary first person view, and for that reason, the song has always struck a chord with us. |
