My newest composition, Of Mice and Men: Curtain Call,
is a fun combination of multiple styles. Reverie
is a dreamy solo piano piece with a soft jazzy flair--a real gem. Another recent composition,
Cycle of Life, is for
string orchestra, organ and solo violin.
Two recent compositions, Rebirth
and March of the Bureaucrats are fantasies for piano and orchestra--"In Your Face" music that just
resounds with brazen gusto and are lots of fun.
The first nine pieces, from Of Mice and Men: Curtain Call through Sea of Tranquility, Part 3
stand above the other music on this page, because they were produced on a
brand new, state-of-the-art sound module. Breathtaking realism!
The CD "Jovial Pursuit" contains music that is mostly upbeat. Some of the pieces contain a twist of humor or satire, while others, like "Sea of Tranquility, Parts 1-4" are easy-listening mood music. The orchestral suite Cycle of Dark Prophecies consists of nine movements. Several melodic themes are weaved through the movements of the suite, to give a sense of cohesion. But each time a theme reappears, it is recast in a new mode, a new mood, and evokes a new emotion.

This is a piano quintet written in a
diabolical style that should tickle your
funny bone! A scalawag is a mischief-maker.
This piece mirrors the scheming and
conniving that a scalawag uses to cause all
sorts of trouble. But even trouble-makers
need to take a rest once in a while. During
those brief moments, the world seems to take
a deep sigh of relief. But in truth, the
scalawag simply uses his brief rest to think
up new plots and when he wakes up, look out! |

"Easy Street" is a piece for brass quintet.
It starts out as an easy-going march. A
short middle section relaxes a bit, and
then the march resumes. This piece is
intended to be played by intermediate-level amateur musicians. |
