ElectroPop
is a station for fans of Depeche Mode and also a kind of toplist - any new
additions has to be better than the lowest entry...
Every track is reviewed and rated between I
and X.
The sisterstation ElectroParty
is to be played at parties (duh...) and really makes you want to open those
sparkling brews and go nuts.
While there is a lot to read and do on ElectroPop,
the opposite goes for ElectroParty
- you don't have time to read when you're partying, now do you

Man, this could have been big in 1985! It really sounds like Depeche Mode. Perhaps a little too much. I don't mean to say that I do not like Depeche Mode. I do. I just mean to say that you will never escape the comparison. Great, great song though. Nice vocal melody and the key change in the chorus is a very skillful touch. -= Adrian Bond =- | MP3.com CD: 4 the Love of God EP - buy it!

This song has loud and clear vocals, and they sound pretty good. I really grooved to this track, it's got a hip-hop mixed with new age sorta sound. The short paced climax is smooth sounding and mixed fabulously. I enjoy the mood of this song, it's not too serious but not too playful, it's just the perfect mix, which makes it work on many levels. Background samples are excellent, and everything is mixed to very very well. -= Bogdan A =- | MP3.com CD: 4 the Love of God EP - buy it!

He made this with a playstation?! The playstation apparently has a wicked bass sample or two. There's a pretty cool groove going on here, with a pulsing bassline and a series of synth phrases spread out across the stereo spectrum. It's got that sorta crisp electronic style going on, where every sound starts at a precise time, ends at a precise time, and is clearly distinguishable from every other sound. It makes for a clean, 80's sounding mix, and is appropriate here. You can hear all the sounds working together without losing their identity. Sparsity is used quite effectively. The mood is nicely dark, the tempo is slow but the rhythm urgent (thanks to the pulsing bass.) The vocals are pretty good, but seem perhaps unnecessary, there being only four words in the entire song, three of them given to us by the title. But perhaps repeated listening will reveal that these four words are indispensable. This is awfully good coming from a Playstation. I wonder what Iozaeph could accomplish with more more sophisticated tools. -=Maximilian=- | MP3.com CD: MUSIC Madness - buy it!
