In 2001, antiUrcec and jasonFIST collaborated to form projectFM with the mission in mind to create a new, innovative sound different from anything being played at the time. Popularity was never important, the only priority was the music. The debut was to be entitled "a.d.", and with 4 tracks complete, it was evident that projectFM's melodic beats and dark synth, accompanied by its acoustic, ambient atmospheres allowed for its listeners to be drawn in. The idea of being able to tap into the listener's mind so intimately is something that fascinated jasonFIST. FIST was able to use his deeper, darker sounds to create a melodic, hypnotizing rhythm that was aimed at tapping into the consciousness of his listeners. While antiUrcec was impressed with the sound he and FIST had created with "a.d.", he was disturbed by the growing obsession FIST had with his 'hypnotic' beats. The two decided to part ways after only 4 tracks had been completed together, with a 5th track still awaiting FIST's collaboration. While the 2 worked independently on solo projects, the original unfinished collaboration they had started, "a.d.", was released. The EP featured all the tracks they had worked on together, plus bonus tracks including one each from both Urcec's and FIST's upcoming solo debuts. Shortly after the release of "a.d.", however, the 2 decided to put aside any differences and re-unite. The combination of Urcec's mellow, melodic sounds with FIST's dark, hypnotic rhythms and basslines will be featured in their upcoming projectFM collaboration entitled "532 a.d.". Take a sneak peek of "532 a.d." by downloading either of the tracks listed below, including the first track worked on by both Urcec and FIST together since "a.d." entitled "requiem". The original, previously unreleased collaboration, entitled "a.d." is available under 'albums' to the left. IF YOU WISH TO LEAVE FEEDBACK PLEASE GO TO cryogenicradiofeedback.cjb.net. The only track featured on the upcoming "532 a.d." composed solely by Urcec originally for his solo project before the re-uniting of himself and FIST. Influences by Smashing Pumpkins and Radiohead very evident . . this track really begins to take off at 1:26 with entrance of drums, then flowing to a smooth guitar solo, followed by piano interlude, and excellent corgan-esque outro. .
