THE LIFTER$ formed in Austin,TX in 1998 by singer/guitarist T.Mack. In 1998 THE LIFTER$ recorded a two song CD titled "Made In TeXas". THE LIFTER$ have a new line up and a new CD "Engine Music" on KILLINGBIRD RECORDS. THE LIFTER$ are : T.Mack guitar/vox, CaveMan bass & egg, Freddie Ready? guitar, and Buzz drums. Although THE LIFTERS are a new band, each member has been in established bands (Broken Teeth, Sin Pelo, C.A.B., SSIK, and The Joe Ely Band). When asked about THE LIFTER$ sound, T.Mack says: "THE LIFTER$ sound has been called "Big Rock, Hell Rock, and Loud", "Call it what you want. Just pay the cover, drink some beer, and have a good time." "THE LIFTERS songs are basic rockers with hooks, there's nothing deep here, no hidden meanings" he adds "it's just like a frying' pan to the Fuckin' face!" THE LIFTERS will be playing a dump near you soon! The new CD was Recorded in Austin Texas in the fall of 2001 titled "ENGINE MUSIC" is finally finished. Recorded by BRock and Todd Dillon mixed by Jared Tuten and released on KILLINGBIRD RECORDS. "Engine Music" has six original songs plus two classic covers "Rockaway Beach" by The Ramones and "Make Believe" by Conway Twitty. The CD will be available through this site or Killingbird.
