Written by DAVE ESPESETH in PORTLAND OREGON during the late 1980's or sometime during the early 90's - Dave and I played guitars together, attending Open Mic nights. Dave had been, at one time, a National Park Ranger and had lost both his legs below the knees in a raging snow storm one winter! This did not stop Dave from living life to it's fullest. Tragically, Dave drowned unexpectedly while kayaking. This recording is dedicated to the memory of Dave Espeseth.

This is a cover of a Roky Erickson song - remember the 13th Floor Elevators?? Some of the best Roky E. recordings I have heard have been those his mom made of him when he was in the 'hospital' (er, looney bin). This is recorded in lowish-fi, with some percussive sounds and straight acoustic lead guitar tracks as well. Weeee!

Snuggly Places can be anywhere, when your on a train or a plane in the air. But the Snuggliest place, the most important by far, is the place inside you where you know who you are.

A Robert Johnson song - I don't pretend to be some slide-playing master (not by any stretch of the imagination), but this is not a bad example! Recorded this one in monophonic low-fi with Stella (see tiny picture!) a small-body 1947-ish guitar made in Chicago.
