Soprano Jenn Crawford has had the pleasure of
performing on Seattle stages for the past three
years. Her local roles include Marenka in
Smetana's The Bartered Bride, Belinda in Purcell's
Dido and Aeneas, Nella in Puccini's Gianni
Schicchi, Jenny Diver in John Gay's The Beggar's
Opera, Fiordiligi in Mozart's Cosi fan tutte,
and the title role in Gilbert and Sullivan's
Iolanthe. She has also been featured in opera
and concert performances with local sensation
Benevolent Order for Music of the Baroque as
Daphne in Charpentier's Acteon and Ange in
Charpentier's Christmas Nativity. Other
credits include Tisbe in Rossini's La
Cenerentola, Barbarina in Mozart's
Le Nozze di Figaro, and Connie in Rodgers'
and Hammerstein's A Grand Night for Singing
in Charleston's Piccolo Spoleto Festival.
In June 2003 Jenn was featured in a
recital of arias and songs in benefit of the
Earthquake repairs for Seattle's
Trinity Episcopal church, and throughout
July 2003 she was seen as Ovella in Del Shores'
play "Cheatin'" with Edge of the World Theatre
in Edmonds. In September and October 2003
Jenn will appear with the Eastside Musical
Theatre's production of Evita, as the title role, and in January of 2004 she will appear with Opera Pacifica as the Countess in Mozart's the Marriage of Figaro. Jenn is a native of South Carolina and would eat grits everyday if she knew how to cook.
