PUNKTILLIO, an acoustic
duo from New Haven, CT, is revolutionizing punk music. The group, whose members
include Aubrie (vocals) and Carissa (guitar), began their journey in 2003.
Everything began as a harmless talent show act, but on March 21 a little bit of
pride went a long way. At the Amity Teen Center, Aubrie and Carissa performed
their talent show act on stage on the spur of the moment and so, PUNKTILLIO was
formed. PUNKTILLIO's sound is acoustic punk. What is this you may ask. Well the
the girls take songs that you would normally see people moshing to and play them
with full chords on an acoustic guitar. That takes care of covers,
but what about orignials? The girls throw in a touch of
emo here and sing love-related songs, but of course there is more to life than just love.
The girls also proudly sing "The Anti-Avril Song", a comment on Avril Lavinge and
popular music of today. PUNKTILLIO's sound is mellow, and ideal for a coffee house crowd!
