ECLIPTIC SUNSET, began among the year 1998 starting
from the initiative of Alejandro Medina (guitars,
lyrics and composer from then on) under an
instrumental concept, based on classic guitars and
violin. Then, at the end of year 1999, after the
composition of new songs they were incorporating
new musicians, for the execution of the same ones,
specifying a complete band that in that moment was:
Esteban Agüero (voice)
Alejandro Medina (guitars)
Germán Sulca (bass)
Gabriel Castillo (session drums),
having in concept the Melodic Black Metal, with
folkloric and atmospheric touches. Under the
influence of bands like: CRADLE OF FILTH,
DIMMU BORGIR, EMPYRIUM, EDGE OF SANITY, among
others.
The songs began to be recorded in a recording
studio, to be part of the future CD of long
duration, including more classic instruments,
(being added to the classic guitar and the
violin), as being flute and contrabass.
In the year 2001, during the recording and after
two live presentations with local bands, as well
as in Salta and Jujuy. The formation already
mentioned, was dissolved completely, but the
recording continued ahead until concluding all
the songs.
The rest of the instruments and parts of the bass
and the keyboard, was recorded by session musicians.
The desire, the fury, the darkness, the metal
continues in the heart, awaiting the launching of
the CD called "From these Dried Lands" what is
available since May 2003, edited and distributed
by FURIAS RECORDS / ORION MUSIC ENTERTAINMENT.
