This features the same great crew that helped create "I'm With You Now"- Peter, Todd, Mike and Ritchie. I wrote "Kick It Away" about the dilemma created by thinking you know who you are. The moment you conceptualize your self image it becomes just another stumbling block you will have to 'kick away' sooner or later. The resolution to the question "Who am I?" is best embodied in genuinely asking it rather than settling on an answer. |

This is an austere, atmospheric lament. Todd Briscoe created the wonderful ambient keyboard part and added the tambourine. Julie sang the ghostly vocals that haunt the bridge and end of the song. I played the acoustic guitars and bass. |

Face The Weather deals with the discovery and transformation of elements within ourselves. Those things about us which at first seem dark or even dangerous eventually evolve into our greatest strengths and gifts. The process is one that can't be hurried and has it's own pace and rhythm, not unlike the changing of seasons. Leona True, the Canadian wing of our creative co-op, wrote these words which I set to music. Julie sings the lead while our friend Joe Legg, Leona and I provide the backups. |
