At some point in his or her life, every scientist has had dreams of changing the world, or at least the perceptions the world has of a particular disease, animal, or field of study. The dream of being the next Thomas Alva Edison or Albert Einstein, men who by the combination of their vivid imaginations, curiosity, and the intellect to realize these "impossibilities" in their lifetime, has fueled many a surgeon, anthropolgist, and even the occasional artist. And while these geniuses came across their fair share of opposition in their pursuits, ethical controversy was something reserved for their counterparts in psychology or literature. However, science has now entered into fields of research in which the pursuit of truth is no longer the only consideration.
