Not at all metalcore, but how to classify such a song, and indeed such a band? This song, the opener from their closing, only full album release, was another step in a different direction, which in the end just proved how far ahead of their time they actually were, even now there are bands and people only just getting into the delights that were Canvas, and they still influence new bands all the time. This song has it all, just walk in with an open mind. |

One of the many Canvas epics, this song has everything, a nice quiet, building, dark intro, huge riffing, stomping beats, chaos, screams and torturous sections. Proof even early in the career that they were something truly special. |

By this time, Canvas had gone well beyond hardcore and metalcore, and were turning into a technical monster. This song shows off their more brutal nature, and their Meshuggah influences very well. Probably one of the most perfect and intense songs ever written. |
