Live in concert recording. A groovy riff, odd tempo head with a Zappa-esque melody that overlap each other, creating a "2 songs at the same time" thing going on... moves on to straight ahead improvisation... the guitar riff is a trick... a loop we throw in live, as we play.
Double bass, Soprano, Drums, electric guitar.
Pretty whack stuff... but very easy on the ears. |

Improvised 100% live in front of the audience... guitar and sax atmospheres, drums played with mallets, bass played with bow... picks up structure as it advances.
Musical conversations and dialog wich is not assertive... yet dark and not without certain menace, while the band moves together without violating each other's "air space"... one of our favorites. |

We don't know if this is jazz or rock... it's not fusion. It is closer to rock though.
A solid staright forward groove and a catchy riff melody... we made a few mistakes playing it live, but this is the first time we performed it. This has a certain "Crimson-esque" air to it. The melody is simple, but the interaction with the rythm makes it interesting as it comes in and out.
Sax solo with a LOOONG bridge that has another rythm, with vintage tom flavor. This was played with electronic drums, wich also provide the vinyl scratch sound and piano chords. |

A pretty melody, with a catchy nature, a swampy rythm with sort of zydeco undertones... originally with acoustic guitar. A blues middle section, with a bass solo/exploration charting the relationships between jazz and blues... or so we think.
A mean sax solo. |

We've never been in Budapest, nor this song has mellotron... so...
This piece has a loop with a sort of melodic rythm, mixed with a train station recording wich we threw in live at the show...
We just followed through, improvising. The guitar creates a warm atmosphere that feels almost like a deep wind instrument. The loop then reenters backwards, so it finishes disarming itself wich we do, not as firmly as we start. A light piece. |

This is from our trio period... we recorded a reherasal and we started jamming this.
This is from another period, back when we were a quartet, (2000) but with keyboard and electric bass... then we became a trio.
The bass playing is the shiny point here... drums are all electronic, except ride cymbal, wich explains some crash cymbal errors in triggering... this was recorded on a jazz drive, wich explains a few skips you'll listen to.
It's got interesting movement though... and shows part of our approach to "solos"... but it's NOT a SONG. |

We don't play traditional straight ahead jazz... this is as close as we get.
This song has a sort of forward movement, and is complemented with a "free" section, something very common on our songs. It features also sounds of cars passing by and other stuff that add to a small "dissorienting" character it has. Drums have several mistakes and doubtful shyness, wich AS THE DRUMMER I notice a lot, this was at the opening of the show and we could not listen to each other on that later it gets better. Most enjoyed at high volume. |

At the recorded rehearsal, a flavorful latin dish... with no particular style or clave... and no instrumentation parts... just a delicious improvised groove and excellent electric bass jamming... not frivolous or prey to virtuosic "Chopmeister" traps, no gimmicks either, just fun.
This was performed with electronic drums and all percussion parts were played live on the kit, wich explains a hideous cymbal that cancelled itself up on some parts... again not a song. But a lot of fun. |

An uptempo simple melody with a sort of dragging end to it, played freely with a sort of vintage electric fusion swing pulse... but very simple and uncluttered... no long scales or riffs... no monster fills.
Not that long either... |
