Memory's Garden evolved from the death metal bands Putrid Mass and Sickness(both from Milwaukee, WI) and is not to be confused with Memory Garden from across the seas. Only one 5-song album was ever created, taking May 1994 to May 1996 to record. The songs were an eclectic departure from the traditional sludge death/thrash metal styles and feature acoustic guitars, strange arrangements, and long song lengths which some might classify as doom-metal.
Here's the track listing for that album which was entitled "Windows To The Soul":
1. Planet Delirium(recorded '95)
2. Temptation(recorded '95
3. Crypt Of Mourning(recorded '94)
4. Au Desespoir(recorded '94)
5. Butterfly(recorded '96)
In 1997, the members went seperate musical directions for a period of time and returned to their doom roots in 1999 with the band Planet Delirium.

Heavy, catchy death metal which goes into doom/hippy mode and back again! The middle stuff is very Pink Floydian, as we were "expanding our minds" at that point in our lives. |
