This is the demo intercepted by U.S. Postal Officer Will Grimsley en route to Tooth and Nail Records, a Christian record label based out of Seattle, WA. According to reports by the NHFA, the letter was not properly sealed, and in accordance with USPS regulations, the contents were emptied for resealing. Upon doing so, Officer Grimsley noticed that the cover art depicted a photograph of Tooth and Nail headquarters as shot through a rifle scope. Recognising a clear threat to the safety of civilian lives, he submitted the parcel and its contents to the FBI for inspection before continuing its delivery. Strangely, after several days of intense scrutiny, the five officers involved in the evaluation fell prey to persuasive messages subliminally encoded into the backbeat, a practice DJ Oozie has dubbed "ill-process," and left their posts with the intent of joining Oozie's cultish band of fanatical disciples, the "Spaceniks."
Although the agents were obstructed and detained, Oozie's "ill-process" continues on to this day through underground radio and MP3.com. "Tooth and Nail Demo" is the original recording of DJ Oozie's first infamous attempt at subverting the minds of Tooth and Nail Records, who he continues to stalk in various artistic forms.
His music is still under intense legal scrutiny. |
