In today's music industry, there is an excess of people who call themselves artists. Of those who do, very few have an active hand in the writing, recording, and producing of their work. In fact, many are not involved in the creative process at all, resulting in performance with no personal stake. There are even fewer within the realm of musical artists that actually conceptualize what they do as art. Too Far To Run is an attempt to confront what is wrong with the business. It is organic, original, and engaging. Composed of live instrumentation, samples, and unique recording techniques, it becomes something akin to sonic graffiti. The music is dark and haunting, yet laced with an optimism that can only be attributed to youth. The music lays it on the line, undeniably taking a stand while simultaneously admitting vulnerability. Very few artists are this open and honest with their audience. The music is an answer to what has gone wrong in the field. It is an answer to the ridiculousness of the times. It is an answer to those who just want us to go along.
