Epic Of Empyrea formed in the winter of 1998 and separated in late 2002.
Formed from the remnants of the death metal band Carcinogenic, they performed
music with a variety of influences ranging from technical death metal, melodic
black metal, and acoustical folk arrangements. They also performed shows with
local underground acts including Nile, Diabolic, Darkmoon, Benighted, Envenom
Thy Winds, Lust Of Decay, Narsilion, Lilitu, and Pulsepherion. In 2002 they
entered the studio to record a full length CD entitled "Transcending The
Metaphysical". Not having a strong financial backing the album was completely
and mixed in only 2 days. Although the band is no longer group, the album is
currently being re-mastered with the addition of newly recorded parts and
