    Current Projects
Elegy for Oboe and Piano Fantasia on Childrens Songs Dance Suite (first two movements) Lord Of The Rings - Moria Serenade for Strings
The orchestral renderings on this page are produced by the use of a computer simulation. While some of the piano pieces are straight forward recordings, others are performances which have been edited at the computer (to make a final performance which, I freely acknowledge, is rather more technically accomplished that my live performance would be ).
Thanks to everyone who has sent feedback. Please do send an e-mail message when you listen to music of artists on mp3.com (see right, "Send e-mail to the artist"). You are not just stroking our egos (though we like that, of course); you may have a chance to influence the music we produce: for example, Moria has been suggested for the Lord Of The Rings work and I think that is a great idea and work has begun. (Thanks, Joe, for the suggestion.)

Another site featuring the music of composers who make their music available in mp3 form is The Group. There is a truly astonishing amount of talent to be found amongst its members, among whom are instrumentalists and composers, both professional and very talented and dedicated amateurs. I sincerely recommend a visit.

Third movement from Louis Spohr's Double String Quartet. This is the slow movement (Larghetto), graceful and full of warmth. A simple theme harmonised in a dozen different ways. (The two quartets are arranged one on each side of the "stage". The order of instruments in the right hand quartet is reversed, so that the cellos are in the middle. This allows the wonderful interplay between the two quartets to sound through.)
Credits: Composer: Louis Spohr, Performance: Richard Cox
