The Verse .
"We continuously strive for a stronger sound
while remaining sensitive to our acoustic roots.
Our efforts are sincere, attempting to bring an
interesting, powerful, and well-developed sound
to those who'll listen."
Collectively, The Verse has been maturing since
early 2002, when Borkstrom collaborated with Keen
and Reeb on Seventy Two Others' Autumn Leaves.
Today, Jeremy Keen strikes his guitar and sings,
Phil Borkstrom masterminds the electric guitar,
and Mike Reeb provides the ongoing pulse. Over
the past four years Keen and Reeb have shared
the stage with such artists as Pete Krebs,
Miranda Stone, Denison Witmer, and the similar
sounding Sleeping at Last.
If you stay up late at night wondering, they
appreciate Wilco, Pete Krebs, Elliott Smith,
The Beatles, Ryan Adams, Howie Beck, Neil Young,
Andru Bemis, Unwed Sailor, Gillian Welch, Bonnie
'Prince' Billy, Howie Beck, The Smashing
Pumpkins, and Pedro the Lion.
