HELP!!! BELTFED NEEDS A DRUMMER AGAIN!!! HELP!!!We are Beltfed, based out of Rockford, IL. BELTFEDis...Dan Eaton: Guitar Arnold Hablewitz: Guitar ?: Drums Bobby Momentellor: Lead Vocals Nick "Weaz" Wenzel: Bass Formed in late 2002, Beltfed is a band on a mission. That mission is to provide brutally heavy nu-metal that is of substantial quality, and accessible whilst still retaining the awesome aggressiveness that the band’s members love. Music that is accessible, yet challenging, brutal, yet melodic, and that pays homage to our sources of inspiration, yet is incredibly original and unique. The coming together of Beltfed was a coming together of two jamming partnerships forming into one solid band. In the early part of summer 2002, Gabe Gomez answered an ad posted by Arnold Hablewitz stating that he was looking for a bassist and drummer. While Gabe was neither, he thought that maybe Arnold could use a singer even though he wasn’t on the look-out for one just yet. Fearing another typical “I’ll-say-that-I-sing-so-that-I-can-be-in-a-band”-type of situation, Arnold was reluctant but agreed to audition Gabe if nothing else but to humor him. The two hit it off really well over a mutual love of listening to more underground types of metal and playing more groove-influenced styles in their own projects. After constantly searching for members and writing raw and somewhat primitive first versions of several tunes, the band hooked up with Nik “Weez” Wenzel and Dan Eaton when Nick began working at Arnold’s place of employment. After sharing their thoughts on trying to find/form another band in the area, they both decided to jam together to combine the two creative forces. Since then Beltfed diligently rehearse with an eye towards recording a promo disc and playing out shortly thereafter. In June of 2003, Gabe decided to leave the group so that he could spend more time with his family. That same month, the band welcomed in Bobby Momentellor, a singer who had previously performed with Arnold’s previous band NONE, as the band’s new lead vocalist. Shortly thereafter, at the beginning of August, the band finally welcomed the missing piece into the fold; an incredibly talented drummer by the name of Brennon Hautamaki, also of Subsick. As of mid-October of 2003, Brennon has decided he no longer wants to be a part of the group. WE therefore need a new drummer, especially since our recording date is confirmed and looming right around the corner. We will be recording at Studio One with Chris Djuricic (Soil, Rebels Without Applause, Origin, and many others) in late December and therefore we need a drummer to come in, learn at least 4 of our songs we have before then, as well as possibly write a few more tunes for possible inclusion. Shows are also in the works, but won't be confirmed until we have a permanent drummer. The sooner y'all contact us and the sooner we get a drummer, the sooner we play out, so get back to us!!!
