Sometimes it's not easy to define the genre
of a particular piece. There is a technical perspective and a fundamental one.
Sounds profound, doesn't it?
To get the fundamental aspect is what it's about. i.e. what is the inspirational energy? That's what affects us when we listen to any sound. We are talking about cause and effect. Sticks and stones ~ The truth is that the effect of energy released in sound
(words or soundscapes) does affect us more than we can imagine. To some this is easy listening. To some it's restaurant music. To some it's jazz. To me it was an interesting surprise, a first, so to speak. It has been left unquantatized.I am sure that is obvious to the discerning ear, right?
~ Sometimes it's better left a little raw .
Hope you agree. A new much cleaner pressing will be released soon. |

This song lyrically in it's simplicity speaks a language the regenerated only can understand.(In other words 'if you ain't regene you won't get it, K?' But there is always hope.) The simplicity of the statement is reflected in the musical style which is somewhat reminiscent of simpler times (With the Ladybirds back-up singers) Although this was not the original intention behind this song, it kinda took it's own direction. When this happens, it's best not to fight it.
I guess a good lesson here is; simplicity in relation to God, which of course includes childlike honesty, is where we find rest, as we are already completely accepted by Him once we have received the free Gift. (The only way you'll start getting it.) Enjoying tangeable peace with God in this world is indeed a priceless possesion.(Understatement!) Let us treasure it (Amen Brother!) and spend our days together in His Presence.(Preach it!)

Very layed back, simple and gentle jazz.
When my wife heard it for the first time with my headphones, she closed her eyes, and then as I watched , her face kinda got very soft and then gently lit up. She said she saw in her minds~eye this angel wearing a brimmer hat playing a trumpet kinda lounging on the top of this roof or bridge (all in sillouette) in front of a very early morning sun.
And I said 'Hey Lucy, you sure are alittle crayzi!' ~ Now THIS is sucha married bliss!
So if you see a trumpet playing angel wearing a brimmer ~ ask him about the upcoming CD release date and to send me a little help over here. There are a bunch of folks who have been making inquiries. |
