Amorphis simply create heavy progressive rock like no other. "Alone" is the band's newest single off their album "Am Universum." It's a breathtaking example of superb craftsmanship and excellent melodic guitar work. Listen to Amorphis' "Alone" and feel the magic within these fine Finnish songwriters. |

"Moon And Sun" is taken from the out-of-print "Black Winter Day" Ep, which was recently re-issued on the new version of "Tales From The Thousand Lakes." It's a track that recalls Amorphis' doom/death roots, but it also signals the band's longing for a more meaningful musical expression. "Moon And Sun" features growling vocals but they're tastefully rendered against a backdrop of sublime atmospheric (progressive?) metal - a style that Amorphis has perfected. |
