Gotham Road Biography - 4.18.2003
"Time for Change" The sun has set. The night's sky has quietly crept in faster than usual. Everyone can sense that something is happening; they just can't explain what it is. Not a sound can be heard with the exception of the gentle whistling from the wind. The song is quite different from any other, in a key that no one has ever heard before. Even the trees appear to look sad, yet curious at the same time. In the distance a new noise can be heard. It's Footsteps on the street of this dark night. Four silhouettes are seen as the full moon settles in behind them. One of them is walking in the middle of the street followed by another and there is one on each side of them. Oddly enough, you feel comfort as they draw nearer. It's now close enough for their faces to be visible. The first is a face that everyone is familiar with, but yet it has changed dramatically. He is Michale Graves. Many remember him from his years with the legendary band, THE MISFITS. Some witnessed his follow-up Project, GRAVES. It was then when he felt the yearning for something fresh, new and less restrictive. This was also about the time when he met the person on his right.... Loki had been cycling through the North Jersey underground scene. He had been playing guitar for multiple bands in the ranks including ANGELSIN, MISTER MONSTER, SPY SOCIETY 99 and THE EMPIRE HIDEOUS. The Union between Mike and Loki marked the unfortunate end of an era but sparked the beginning of a new one. The person to the left is ex-MISTER MONSTER bassist/guitarist, J.V. Bastard. His long time friendship and ties through the underground scene with Loki is what earned him a spot in this solid lineup. This left just one important position to be filled. They had one and only one person on their minds and that's the man in the back... Paul Lifeless, ex-drummer for A LIFELESS ALLIANCE. Paul had done tour dates with MISTER MONSTER and had kept in touch with Loki and J.V. ever since. Many of you do not recognize his face, but make no mistake about it, he will prove his worth as the backbone of an already tight group. The Time for Change has come. Some won't like it, many will embrace it and others will come to see it as the beginning. The Time for Change has begun, but now It's Our Time.
