Iain Hogg is a Scottish singer/songwriter and poet, born in Dumfries from a family steeped in music and song. He is a direct descendant of James Hogg the Ettrick shepherd whose poetry was a major influence on Robert Burns. Iain's grandmother was the Irish author Mary Carr. Like James Hogg and Robert Burns Iain's poetry and music is drawn from the landscape he works in.
