helmut plays the poly six through a gate delay in the drum machine which dieter tweaks to create skippy static loops and tonal interruptions (there's a good example at 19 minutes). they're also sampling a record of tibetan prayer bowl music (purchased for a euro in amsterdam). dieter uses a pedal to control the record speed (heard clearly at 4 minutes 17 seconds). finally, dieter adds a static wash (heard clearly at 17 minutes 20 seconds) with the kaoss pad. |
