A tribute to Henry Mancini- his music shaped a generation. The standard i- iv- v progression gets a facelift through clever chord substitutions and quirky turn arounds. The lounge style was used to evoke the late fifties /early sixties aura of my childhood.
The premise is based on my poem:
"Woods no longer There"
Woods we once played in
are now shopping malls
filled with children
unaware that raspberries and rlackberries
once grew there...

retrospective piece on growing older...
Lots of nice slinky bass with a 70's urban jazz feel |
