so euphoric is an acoustic indie rock/emo band comparable to such acts as
the new amsterdams. so euphoric is the brainchild
of singer/songwriter jason allen while playing in the band "tragically average."
tragically average was a punk band gone indie, comparable to such fine acts as
further seems forever, jimmy eat world (before they got trendy), and weezer.
those in the band had a great time playing until one by one all the members
started getting into serious relationships with girls. jason, of course, was
the last man standing out of the four. with all of their time spent on girls,
this gave jason a chance to write his own songs and start his long awaited
solo/accoustic project: so euphoric. his sound is very unique, mixing accoustic
guitar and piano with punk style vocals. the songs are very emotional, touching
on prominent themes in young adults' lives, primarily heartache and rejection -
two things that jason allen knows much about. the vocals are laced with delicate
desperation and seething screams making a contrast that leaves a great impression
with all who hear it. at times, jason allows his talented tenor voice to shine
through, while at others he relies upon his raw, ripping voice to get his point
across. he hopes you enjoy the following songs.
