Matt (Matern) Otten is probably best known as the guitarist of jazz singer Maria Harp,
whom he has worked with for many years. He is, however, also a solo artist in his own right. This page
gives you just a few samples of his artistic qualities as a guitarist/composer,
which range from straight ahead jazz, to funk and fusion. Of several CD's with
Maria Harp, the latest one entitled "Up Close" features his guitar excellently,
with acoustic and electric guitars, and some of his own compositions. On previous
CD's he has recorded with jazz & fusion giants such as Niels-Henning
Orsted Pedersen (Oscar Peterson Trio and many others) and Gary Willis
(Tribal Tech).
