"blauen72 makes ambient mellow disco"
The band started in 99' and are famous for their improvised
music. They started out writting light euro-pop songs like
"Beat Me" but in May 2000 they changed their style
towards more improvised and ambient songs. Their first
Minimal Top-10 hit was "My Spirit Is So Weak (Vocoder Mix)"
released in December 1999. They have continued to make
ambient improviced pop songs with a lot of weird sounds and
rythms. The tracks on this page are previously unreleased
and rare. The Band has also decided not to use any computers
or samples for the new singles since they feel that it kills
creativity. A controversial decision but it gives you
improvised and unique electronica.
In August 2001 the band had to change name from
Blauenbock to blauen72 because of a possible
lawsuit from the Italian fashion company Blauen Bock

This is old analog synth sounds mixed with modern rythms. Improvised but still "easy listening". Interesting combinations of sounds and a song that could be described as ambient disco. Released in May 2001 and it will be another hit for blauenbock. Triton sound made by "Richard aka Mastermalleus". |

This sounds like ambient mellow disco. Not a dance tune, more of a slowly growing song that has a lot of analog pads and beautiful sounds. Not just a mix of sounds, clearly laid out and controlled by a steady beat. |

"Since blauen72 got to the MP3.COM Electronic Top-40 they have continued to make excellent tracks. A journey into sounds and rythms. Michael Jackson and Britney Spears watch out!" |
