Soprano Ariadne Votava has participated and performed frequently with VocalArts Northwest
and with other regional groups. Mary received her BM in Vocal
Performance at Oberlin Conservatory with election into Phi Kappa
Lambda, the national honor society for musicians. While at Oberlin college
a few of her opera roles included Belinda in Dido and Aeneas, Poussette
in Manon, Susanna in Le nozze di Figaro, Penelope in Gloriana by Britten,
Monica in the Medium, and Poppea in Aggrippina.
With VocalArts Northwest she has sung, Adina in L'elisir d'amore, Celie
in Signor Deluso, Lucia in Lucia di Lammermoor, and Madame Silvertone in
Mozart's The Impresario. She has also appeared with the Seattle Gilbert
and Sullivan Society as Yum-Yum in the Mikado, and as Aline in the Sorcerer.
Additionally she's been seen with the Bellevue Civic Light Opera
