An ensemble of 5 disgruntled sheet-metal workers, Underwear Steak hail from the rain forests of South Dakota. Their music is an avante garde mix of death jazz and pre-teen, angst ridden bebop. The layering on this piece is subtle, so subtle that you can't hear three of the musicians. This is their statement. Also, if you listen closely to the opening strains of movement VII: Blind in One Nostril, you can hear the gentle caterwaul of the Philadelphia Philharmonica Down's Syndrome Choir. |
