A native of New Orleans, Jesse Sulzer began playing guitar at the age of fourteen. Dedicated to developing his natural gift for the instrument, Jesse was performing professionally by the age of sixteen. Blending elements of blues, rock, folk and other influences, Jesse writes and performs guitar-oriented songs which set him apart from other young "hot-shot" guitarists. At the relatively young age of eighteen, Jesse writes with confidence, penning songs which address universal issues in a personal way. His supporting guitar work and improvisational solos are expressive and soulful, each note offering a further glimpse into the heart of this talented musician. Jesse has entertained enthusiastic crowds in New Orleans at the Parish House of Blues, Howlin' Wolf and Maple Leaf, and has been a regular favorite at Ruby's Roadhouse and the TapRoom in nearby Mandeville and Covington. Jesse has also performed at the Varsity in Baton Rouge, and at numerous music festivals and events throughout Louisiana. Comfortable playing a wide range of musical styles, Jesse has shared the stage with such notables as Clarence "Gatemouth" Brown, The Batiste Brothers, Owen "Big Daddy" Tufts, "beatin path", the Benjy Davis Project, the Usual Suspects and Soul Revival, among others. Jesse currently lives in New Orleans, where he continues to write and perform with various area musicians. Jesse is in the process of forming a new group, which he will front on guitar and vocals. Jesse's many devoted fans look forward to Jesse recording and touring in the near future.
