The group is the vision of four Windsor,
Ontario musicians: poised frontman and guitarist, Adam Gilchrist,
lead guitar man, Leigh Wallace and a tight rhythm section
comprised of Steve Regnier on bass guitar and the impetuous Joe
Desroches on drums. Together these gentlemen comprise one of
Windsor's most popular and rising musical acts.
Formed early in 2002, the Butterfield
Gateway has been rapidly making a name for themselves in the
local scene. High energy, impressive crowds, and a commitment to
enthusiastic performance has helped establish this group as a
'must-see' experience. A generous following of fans,
affectionately known as 'butterheads', is always present when
these guys rock the stage.
They have a fresh and unique sound, with a
definite ear towards the recent trend of revival rock bands
making noise in nearby Detroit, Michigan. Their style has a
certain British alternative quality. The combination of these
influences has given them a special feel and a particular sound
that is appealing to a vast range of music fans. Comparisons to
the Stone Roses and to early Pink Floyd are made often.
They have played several venues all across
the city of Windsor, and have in their short time together made
several roadtrips across southern Ontario to play gigs for
appreciative audiences. They have also received extensive
coverage by Upfront Entertainment Magazine, Windsor's foremost
leader in local music and arts . These guys are all about the
music, and look forward to getting you experienced wherever you
may be.
