The Dixie Mountaineers were a country bluegrass band originating out of Draper, North Carolina in the 1940s. These recordings are from that era, and were recorded at WLOE Radio in Leaksville, North Carolina.
Members of the group (see photo to the left) were: unidentified boys on guitar; Walter Craddock, mandolin; Lloyd Axsom, guitar; Mouar Wilson, fiddle; Joe Searcy, bass; and Marvin Dalton, banjo.
