Tenor Christopher Freeze graduated in June 2001 from Cambridge University, where
he was a Choral Scholar in the choir of Kings College, studying with Susan
Waters. While an undergraduate, Christopher appeared as a soloist in concert
performances of works by Handel, Haydn, Mozart, Beethoven, and Puccini,
and performed several recitals of song and Lieder including works
by Schumann, Beethoven, and Finzi; in June 2001 he sang the title role
of La Clemenza di Tito. Since August 2001 Christopher has lived in Seattle
and studied with Erich Parce; this past spring he sang Count Almaviva
in the Northwest Opera in Shcools Etc. (NOISE). In May he sang Rinuccio
in Gianni Schicchi with the University of Washington. In January he madeb his debut at Washington East Opera as Rodolfo in La Boheme.
In May 2003 he will appear as the tenor soloist with the Portland Symphonic Choir and in a performance of Mendelssohn's Elijah at University Presbyterian Church in Seattle.
